I don’t remember such high MTFs in any wide-angle camera tested with D3x or D200. Samyang, even with maximum aperture, provides high MTF 50 reaching 44 lpmm, moreover results for f/4.0–5.6 are almost record-breaking:46–47 lpmm. It is worth to mention that the best and most expensive lenses tested with D200 scored 47–48 lpmm, but still you have to remember that D200 sensor allows to obtain 1–2 lpmm higher results than D3x. New Samyang is just utterly splendid in the frame centre! It provides significantly higher results than recommended Nikkon 14–24 mm f/2.8 with 14 mm focal length!"
