VDSLR Samyang lenses are fitted with gears compatible with follow focus systems. This solution allows for effortless and accurate rotation of focus and aperture rings. The aperture ring is rotated smoothly and noiselessly. These modifications allow for extremely comfortable and effective control of focal plane and depth of field during filming. Samyang 7.5mm T3.8 UMC Fish-eye VDSLR MFT is an ultra-wide-angle manual lens with 7.5 millimeter focal length and a transmission numer of 3.8, providing 180 degree angle of view.

Despite its small size, the new Samyang successfully combines the best features of the popular model with 8 mm focal length offering highest quality optics closed in a compact and visually attractive casing. It is intended for mirrorless compact cameras of Micro Four Thirds type. The lens comprises 9 elements arranged in 7 groups, including one aspherical lens elements and three ED lens elements with a low dispersion factor. Each lens element is covered with multi-layered anti-reflective UMC coatings to ensure high contrast and perfect light transmission. Despite its small size, the lens produces images with perfect parameters and exceptional vividness, while the minimum focusing distance is barely 0.09 meters.
